June 22, 2022 Lighting Tips
- Start by identifying your needs. Lighting can be used for a variety of purposes such as decoration, safety, and comfort. Once you know what you need, start by thinking about the type of light you want: task or general lighting? Do you need an area to be brightly lit or do you prefer softer shadows?
- Score some deals online or in store! Most stores offer discounts on select items during holiday seasons (Christmas, Fourth of July) and during their sales periods. Be sure to ask about current offers before you visit the store.
- Search forlighting products that fit your needs and style. When looking at lighting options, it’s important to consider how you will be using them – is it for a specific task (like reading in bed), or do you want a general illumination? Once you have identified what type of light you need, browse through various styles and patterns until you find something that appeals to your eye. You can also explore specialty stores that carry more unique ornaments.
- Remember to take the time to test out different lighting options in your home before you buy! Place votive candles, lanterns, and other similar pieces near windows and doors for an instant effect. You can also experiment with different light fixtures by positioning them higher or lower on ceilings or walls. 5. Be sure to read the product descriptions carefully before making a purchase. Many products come with specific instructions on how they should be used, which can save you time and frustration if you end up needing to return or exchange an item.
- Finally, be mindful of your energy consumption when choosing lighting options – choose light fixtures that use less electricity or invest in renewable sources like solar/battery lights!
